Interest receipts dropped by 10.9% year-on-year to MOP$147 million owing to a decrease in deposits.Total expenditure of the gaming sector amounted to MOP$114.89 billion, up by 18.5% year-on-year. It included a 23.0% increase in expenditure on Purchase of Goods, Commission Paid and Customer Rebate to MOP$60.9 billion, comprising 53.0% of the total.Operating Expenses increased by 16.7% year-on-year to MOP$27.9 billion, with compensation paid to employees rising 7.4% year-on-year to MOP$21.3 billion.Macau’s gaming sector added MOP$179.1 billion in gross value to the economy, up by 17.6% on 2016 levels, with gross surplus growing 19.1% to MOP$157.74 billion.last_img read more
