Following the trick-or-treating over 200 costumed participants marched behind the Sierra Madre fire truck in a parade down Sierra Madre Boulevard to Memorial Park where 113 contestants competed in the costume contest.The costume contest was sponsored by the Sierra Madre Kiwanis Club who provided prizes for the winners. The scariest costume category was sponsored by A.S. Rogers Income Tax, and the winner of that category was invited to participate in the Sierra Madre Playhouse’s production of “Romeo & Juliet at Zombie High School” that evening.
