Position TitleExecutive Director of Development – Walker College ofBusiness License/Certification Required DepartmentUniversity Advancement-VC – 500000 AA/EEO Statement Special Instructions to Applicants Manage a portfolio of major ($25,000) and principal ($100,000)donors for the Walker College of Business and the University.Lead, supervise, and train a team of up to five developmentofficers who represent different areas of the University whilemanaging her/his principal gift portfolio of high-levelprospects.Serve as a resource consultant for a team of developmentofficers to develop strategies and solicitations for major giftswith an emphasis on collaboration, teamwork, and opencommunication.Understand current funding needs of the university andpotential funding opportunities of the areas of the universitythrough interface with administrators, deans, development officers,and department heads.Prepare briefing materials, proposal ideas and solicitationstrategies for fundraising calls, and provide guidance for thedevelopment of promotional brochures and written material insupport of specific fundraising activities.Assist the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Development bypromoting sound fundraising practices using metrics foraccountability measurements.Responsible for building and managing a major gifts program toidentify, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of major giftsprospects.
