LifeClass Terme Sveti Martin is the first Run friendly hotel in Croatia, but also in Europe. The initiative to raise the quality of service for millions of runners around the world came from Berislav Sokač and his team from the Run Croatia project. The goal of the project is to organize races of a high standard, but also to sell experiences, ie to promote the Croatian tourist offer – apart from the sun and the sea.As over 50 million people regularly run in the EU, and their annual consumption is estimated at 9.6 billion euros, it is quite logical to focus on runners, especially in the pre- and post-season. This initiative was first recognized by those who know very well that today’s tourist should be offered much more than what was offered in previous years – those from northern Croatia, who are already the main generator of continental tourism in Croatia – LifeClass Terme Sveti Martin.”The introduction of the Run friendly concept in our business is a continuation of our desire to brand the resort in the direction of a Healthness resort that encourages a healthier lifestyle in its guests through physical activities, local food and mind cultivation. After being the first in Croatia to earn the Bike hotel certificate, we are extremely glad to be the first hotel in the world with a Run friendly certificate, providing passionate runners, but also beginners, all Run firendly services throughout the year. We are looking forward to every kilometer that is run in Međimurje.”Pointed out the General Manager of Terme, Branimir Blajić, who is also a passionate athlete and the initiator of many sporting events in the area. Among the sales packages, you will also find the RUN package, which in this Healthness resort is completely adapted to all the needs of runners. Includes high quality t-shirt, running map, various running tours – from beginner to advanced program, healthy offer of drinks and food in the mini bar, energy bars, late checkout, a special massage program and no less important, the perfection of untouched nature, ideal for an active stay outdoors.” The goal of the project is to provide a platform for runners as an added value to hotels through labeling, and our vision is for Croatia to be the first country in the world to have a platform for a run friendly package ” Berislav Sokač from Run Croatia points out and adds that they have made a book of standards and know-how for the certification of hotels as Run Friendly and that we have the opportunity to set a new standard on the tourist map of the world. But the Run Croatia concept is a much broader story, which includes the whole Run Friendly Eco System with various partners, from clinics, restaurants, banks, etc.… Read the wider story of the entire Run Friendly concept below in the attachment.Related news: BERISLAV SOKAČ, RUN CROATIA: I want to bring a part of 50 million runners in Europe to Croatia

Ltd are due to be rolled out on the ships owned and operated by CCCC Dredging Company (CDC) over a period of 24 months with an option for a further six vessels. The new VSAT equipment will replace the vessels’ existing FleetBroadband communications hardware.Cobham SATCOM General Manager China, Cheng-Yu Tang said: “The dredging sector has been cautious in embracing digitalisation, but the enhanced on-board communications delivered to CCCC by the SAILOR 900 VSAT paves the way for real-time monitoring, higher precision modelling and potential for extended remote operations.”China’s dredging industry has undergone a massive overhaul over the past 20 years, resulting in a significantly expanded and more technologically advanced fleet. More than half of this capacity is owned by China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), which today operates around 40 trailing suction hoppers, 60 cutter section dredgers and almost a dozen bucket dredgers. The latest ship to join the CCCC fleet is the Tian Kun Hao, dubbed a ‘magic island-maker’ by its designer, was launched last year and is due to enter service this summer. It is the first fully domestically-built self-propelled dredger of its type in China. The 140m-long cutter section can dredge up to 6,000 cubic meters an hour from depths up to 35m and thanks to an automatic control system can be operated without any crew.
By BEN HARRISThe 2014 National Youth Championships is hours away but for two Queensland girls, it can’t come quick enough.Queensland Secondary Schools Touch (QSST) players Mia Johnstone and Emma Sykes will don the maroon jersey for this week’s event at the Sunshine Coast Stadium. But more importantly, they will be playing in front of their family and friends.Johnstone and Sykes are Sunshine Coast girls – Johnstone is from Twin Waters and Sykes from Sippy Down.Playing in a big tournament in their own backyard is something the pair of 16-year-olds are looking forward to.“It is pretty exciting because it is a really good ground and a massive stadium. Plenty of supporters, so it is going to be very exciting,” Sykes said. This is Sykes’ debut at the National Youth Championships while Johnstone previously played for Sunshine Coast Pineapples. “The experience will be awesome. Playing at a high level with a lot of girls I’ve grown up playing with, so that will be awesome. Every game will be challenging,” Johnstone said.Having played in every girls division final since 1996 – winning 14 of the 18 finals including the past two years – there is a lot of expectation on QSST to maintain their incredible record.“Playing for Queensland you have that expectation in the past about winning,” Johnstone said.“You have to withhold that but I think you need to just get out there and have fun; make the most of it.”New South Wales Combined High Schools have been QSST’s biggest threat each year, and 2014 will be no different.“It is going to be really hard because, even from the under 15s, it was pretty tough competition. It is always hard playing New South Wales and other states,” Sykes said.Sunshine Coast councillor Peter Cox said he would be coming out and watching the National Youth Championships.“I came here last year and the competition was really tight and a great spectacle,” Councillor Cox said.“Anyone out there who hasn’t got anything to do in the next couple of days they should come down here because they will see some quality football.”Councillor Cox said the Sunshine Coast would benefit from the National Youth Championships, as well as the State of Origin series (played on Friday and Saturday).“It’s a pretty special time for us and the Sunshine Coast. The players, officials, spectators and families all coming along gives our local economy a great boost, and it is great to show off our great facilities,” Councillor Cox said. There are plenty of ways to keep up-to-date with all of the latest results, news and information from the 2014 National Youth Championships (NYC). New Delhi: Seeking to encash Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s image of a doer, BJP has chosen the slogan of ‘Modi Hai to Mumkin Hai’ ‘Modi makes it possible’ for the upcoming general elections, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said Thursday. Modi, he added, has demonstrated during the last five years indefatigability by literally working round-the-clock, Jaitley said in the ‘Agenda 2019 Part-4’ blogpost. He further said Modi as a quick learner has demonstrated his ability to take quick decisions on complicated matters with clarity and determination. Many India observers across the world have marvelled with India’s pace of taking decisions and implementing them. The BJP, therefore, has chosen an effective slogan for the forthcoming elections ‘Modi Hai to Mumkin Hai’ ‘Modi makes it possible’,” said Jaitley, who is also in-charge of the publicity division of BJP for 2019 general elections. Recalling some landmark achievements of the government, he said for the first time for five years in a row, India has remained the fastest growing major economy in the world and also a ‘sweet spot’ in the global economy. It is precisely for this reason that India will witness an election where people will get an opportunity to endorse Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, decisiveness, integrity and performance. Indeed he makes it possible,” the finance minister said. Among other things, Jaitley also said during Modi’s premiership, India demonstrated through surgical strike of 2016 and air-strike of 2019 against Pakistan that it was willing to adopt unconventional methods of attacking terror at the point of its origin. The other achievements of the government, he said, were bringing down inflation from 10.4 per cent during the UPA regime to 2.5 per cent presently, running an honest government and providing 10 per cent reservation in public employment and educational institutions for economically weaker sections in unreserved category. The government, he said, has also provided income support to poor farmers and pension scheme for the unorganised labour in the country. Other achievements of the government were the smoothest implementation of GST, free medical treatment to the poor under Ayushman Bharat scheme and 100 per cent electrification of all households, he said. “The above is only an illustrative list of the kinds of strides India is making. Has any government done more? It was the same governmental machinery, the same political system, the same implementation instruments that the government had at its disposal. It is both the motivation and the leadership which made the vital difference,” Jaitley said.
While the issue of nationalism in the wake of Pulwama and air strike continues to dominate the political discourse in the run-up to 2019 general elections, yet growth with good governance remains the main poll plank of ruling BJP, which is showcasing how its reforms have paid rich dividends in the real estate and infrastructure domain, not only contributing significantly to nation’s GDP but also boosting the living standard of masses. Riding high on the theme of New India & transformation through reforms, this year’s interim budget spelt out measures to boost real estate. Not only was the annual income up to 5 lakh made tax free to boost the disposable income of home buyers, but tax exemption on house rents was also hiked to 2.4 lakh to encourage investors to invest in second homes for rental income. The budget also lessened the tax burden of developers by way of extending the exemption of tax levy on unsold inventory, from one year to two years, besides benefits under Section 80-1BA of the Income Tax Act to projects approved till March 31, 2020. With these budgetary incentives together with a substantial cut on GST rate on housing, the government focused on boosting real estate. Also Read – A special kind of bondIn fact, immediately after taking over in 2014, the Modi government demonstrated its commitment to give a boost to the construction and housing sector. In a far-reaching measure, the first budget of the NDA government met the long-standing demand of liberalising FDI norms in the construction sector by reducing the requirement for a built-up area and capital requirement. In yet another significant step, REITs were introduced with tax incentives to unlock a new source of funding for the capital-starved developers. Besides these, the twin measures of increasing home loan interest exemption limit by 50000 rupees and income tax limit by another 50000 rupees were major incentives to boost housing. In the following budgets, infrastructure was given a big push with an investment hike of 70000 crores and setting up of National Investment and Infrastructure Fund. Also Read – Insider threat managementFully recognising that affordable housing is key to meet the severe shortage of housing in the country, the government brought in incentivised policies for affordable housing including providing infrastructure status to it. The reform of demonetisation together with Benami Property Prohibition Act was introduced to stamp out black money from real estate, responsible for an artificial spurt in prices. Further, the reform to regulate real estate through the Real Estate Regulation Act (RERA) was introduced which not only contributed to bringing down realty prices but also brought in transparency and fair play into real estate transactions. The government launched the flagship mission of ‘Housing for All by 2022’. And to ensure that housing was within the reach of masses, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) was launched with Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) offering home loan interest rate subsidy of up to 2.67 lakh. This has significantly helped to make homes affordable. The gains of PMAY are visible to all in terms of delivery of record number of homes, though they are far short of 2022 targets. On the infrastructure front, the record construction of over 25 km a day of highways is another achievement which Modi government is showcasing. Modi government is now flaunting these reforms to voters ahead of polls. That the government has made real estate, housing and infrastructure as one of its main poll planks, is clearly visible from the hordes of projects/schemes launched in a rush before the introduction of poll code. Among the key metro rail projects given go-ahead were Kanpur & Agra Metro, Phase 4 of DMRC, Dwarka Expressway metro connectivity and extension of Red Line Metro to Ghaziabad. The Dwarka Expressway stuck for years in Delhi area, was given go ahead. In order to provide a big connectivity boost to real estate, regional air connectivity from Hindon Airforce Station in Ghaziabad was started with the operationalisation of civilian flights. The foundation laying of Rs 90000 crore Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and 61000 crores Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail Project. However, notwithstanding the pre-election real estate and infrastructure bonanza and the positive impact of real estate reforms, only time will tell, how much dividend this poll plank will pay to the ruling party in the parliamentary polls. NEW DELHI: Delhi on Sunday witnessed a sharp drop of 5 per cent vote than the 2014 Lok Sabha poll. In 2014, the total voter turnout was nearly 65 per cent which became 60 per cent in 2019.Sources in political parties listed issues like heat, smearing campaigns, voter list deletion, non-alliance and pro-incumbency for this turnout. While BJP sources focused on the pro-incumbency factor the AAP observed that voter list deletion played the major role. Meanwhile, the common people took a dig into the smearing campaign and non-alliance. “The AAP and Congress alliance were much needed in Delhi. It did not happen and there is no point to cast vote as BJP will anyway. I also did not like the kind of blame game all the political parties did. The politicians in Delhi have stoop down so low that I lost my faith from the electoral scene,” said Rishav Mehta who was supposed to vote from the New Delhi constituency but did not. The ruling Aam Aadmi Party has been alleging that lakhs of names of voters have been deleted, even as poll body rejected its allegations. Taking to Twitter, Delhi Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot said, “Voters unable to find their votes at polling booths. It is true that on large scale votes have been deleted. All these are resident of Jai Vihar-I, Najafgarh.” He asked what the ECI had to say about this and sought to know who was responsible for the voters’ constitutional right to be taken away like this. “Vote deleted this time. All are regularly voting in the past.” Delhi Home Minister Satyendra Jain tweeted with images of voter identity cards of people whose names were not in the list. Over 1.43 crore people in Delhi are eligible to vote in this election which will decide the fate of 164 candidates, of which 18 are women. There are 43 independent candidates. While 2,54,723 voters are in the age group of 18 and 19, there are 40,532 electorates with a disability who would be provided pick up and drop facility. Delhiites on Sunday voted to decide the fate of at least 164 candidates, who are fighting for the seven Lok Sabha seats in the capital. In 2014, the BJP won all the seven seats and is looking to repeat the feat. The three main parties –BJP, Congress and AAP –have fielded their state party chiefs from a single constituency. BJP’s Manoj Tiwari, DPCC chief Sheila Dikshit and AAP’s Delhi chief Dilip Pandey are all locking horns in north-east Delhi constituency that is reeling under the key issues of bad roads, overflowing drains and garbage disposal.
