Anastasiades condemns London terror attacks

first_imgPresident Nicos Anastasiades on Sunday condemned the latest terrorist attacks in London.Anastasiades tweeted from New York: “Such cowardly acts succeed only to forge the will for decisive action on the part of the international community to fight terrorism. Our thoughts are with the people of London and with the families of those killed or injured by the heinous terrorist attack.”The president had met in London on Saturday evening with former British Prime Minister David Cameron. They exchanged views on the Cyprus issue and Brexit among other topics, CNA reported.They also discussed Anastasiades’ meeting in New York on Sunday night with UN chief Antonio Guterres and Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akinci to try and move the stalled negotiations forward. With Cameron, the president talked about the difficulties on the issues of security and guarantees.
